Fall 2026 Dota 2 Calendar: Wallachia S9 and BLAST Slams

After TI 2026, the tier-1 circuit continues with three $1M events. Dates, locations and what to watch for.

The International may be the peak of the Dota 2 year, but the 2026 season is not over. Three tier-1 events with $1,000,000 prize pools fill the autumn, each one awarding points on the Esports Tour circuit that shape invitations for the following season.

PGL Wallachia Season 9

  • Dates: September 17–27, 2026
  • Location: Bucharest, Romania
  • Prize pool: $1,000,000

PGL's Wallachia series has become a regular stop on the calendar, and Season 9 is the first major test after The International. It is also the first tier-1 event played on patch 7.41f, which arrived just two days before the start — so expect drafts that still reflect the old patch in the first days, with adaptations as the event progresses.

BLAST Slam VIII

  • Dates: September 29 – October 11, 2026
  • Prize pool: $1,000,000

BLAST Slam events have quickly grown into one of the pillars of the circuit. Season VIII comes right on the heels of Wallachia, giving teams very little rest — depth of hero pool and roster stamina matter.

BLAST Slam IX

  • Dates: November 17–29, 2026
  • Format: hybrid (online and LAN stages)
  • Prize pool: $1,000,000

Billed as the last tier-1 tournament of the 2026 season, BLAST Slam IX is the final chance for teams to collect points and make a statement before the winter break.

Storylines to follow

  1. Can Team Spirit keep their form? Post-TI events are notoriously tricky for champions, who often rest or tweak rosters.
  2. TEAM VISION's follow-up. After a breakout run to the TI grand final, can they prove it was not a one-off?
  3. The post-TI roster shuffle. The weeks after TI traditionally bring roster changes that can reshape the competitive landscape.
  4. A possible 7.42. If a major patch lands during the autumn, BLAST Slam IX could be played on a very different game.
